In the C64 version, couldn't you force them to appear? I seem to remember holding down a key when entering hyperspace to trigger witchspace. X maybe? I used to fly away from the thargoid, and shoot it and the thargons through the rear camera. I guess we might finally get that rear camera action with multi-crew if a ship could be fitted with a rear facing turret. (apologies for offtopic reply! not yet awake)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was to force a mis-jump of your hyperdrive, by overloading the engines in a bid to escape pirates etc...... But everyone used it to find thargoids
