CMDR Senan Torr is still struggling to make it back to Colonia.

CMDR Senan Torr is still struggling to make it back to Colonia. He is just over 10K from Colonia and 31K from LTT 4961 (his ultimate destination for DW2 prep). Lots to see out there though and I've made some amazing discoveries! Even found a ringed water world and an ringed HMC that fooled me into thinking it might be an ELW. I've tagged lots and lots of WW and a good number of non-ringed ELWs. Everyday holds new discoveries!

Ian Stoffberg Took your advice and went to Robigo tonight.

Ian Stoffberg Took your advice and went to Robigo tonight. Did one run just to get started and did just shy of 10 million!

Robigo update

Robigo update 166 mil credits earned. Pioneer 62% up to 96% Stopping to focus on penalties (Eng vs Col). Hopefully Elite Tourism is one round trip away. Judging from the reward choices I'm being offered, I might stay here and continue, but take Grade4 & 5 materials as rewards.

Just spent 90 minutes in Robigo doing Tourism Passenger Missions.

Just spent 90 minutes in Robigo doing Tourism Passenger Missions. About 100mil. earned. Went from 41% Pioneer to 62%. Didn't want to post on a more public forum. In case any of you want to up one of your commanders exploration rank. Of course, the good payouts come from being allied. There are 3 factions giving upwards of 25 missions each, so lots to chose from! I'm using an Anaconda with only First Class Cabins. 9 missions at a time.

Today I noticed a blob on the galaxy map that moved a bit different to the other stars.

Today I noticed a blob on the galaxy map that moved a bit different to the other stars. 15 mins later and I'm my asp and buzzing around 4 black holes!

UNCHARTED SWIRLY THING ALERT!!!

UNCHARTED SWIRLY THING ALERT!!! Nice to know that there are still untagged neutron stars out there. There's a black hole 4 jumps away. Will be interesting to see if that is unclaimed, too.

Jump! Jump! Jump! your Asp

Jump! Jump! Jump! your Asp Across the galaxyyyy! Verily, verily, verily, verily, You'll never feel so free! 30 jumps from the Cat's Paw Nebula, then I'm hanging a right all the way down the spiral arm to Beagle Point, before swinging back to the Bubble via Colonia. If this doesn't make Aemon Roche (10% Pioneer) Explorer Elite, nothing will!

11.5K from Conway City now but moving slowly due to time.

11.5K from Conway City now but moving slowly due to time. Found a nice green ringed land-able planet .66g today. 381 more jumps to go.

CMDR Mark Ausley is 398 jumps from LTT 4961.

CMDR Mark Ausley is 398 jumps from LTT 4961. Doing a bit of exploring on the way back but mainly focused on returning all this data to NULL stations. Will advise when I'm close.

I find I am exploring in all 3 of my Elite Dangerous accounts at the moment.

I find I am exploring in all 3 of my Elite Dangerous accounts at the moment. I'm just beginning on one (Orca - Lux Tour) and just ending another (Anaconda - GNE/Sag A) but my Keelback (M7E) will take quite some time to return to Colonia (Home). I'm trying to expedite my Anaconda's return to the bubble not only to help NULL but to also place a Commander in the bubble so I can attend events, help with NULL stuff and participate in any new CGs or Thargoid activities. Guess I really have the exploration bug!

Hi Everyone, I'm thinking of changing the name of this group to just Elite Explorers given that I'm no longer a part of NULL. Any objections? Or would you prefer me to hand ownership over to someone else?

I'm home! Never again (in an unengineered ship)...

I'm home! Never again (in an unengineered ship)... Originally shared by Iain McC After an epic 60,000+ light year trip to Sag A* and back (via Colonia on the outbound trip), that started in July last year, I've finally brought my namesake Commander back to Conway City. Ian Norton was on hand for the celebratory fireworks, and I'm quite gratified that the docking computer didn't try to kill me in the final kilometre to the landing pad. I think I'm going to retire my unnamed, unengineered Anaconda and leave it docked at Conway (unrepaired) as a memento of the trip. It's certainly done some space mileage! I haven't cashed in any data as yet, but Sag A* is certainly going to be setting a record for the highest single payout in my exploration stats... 628kCr! I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if I make Explorer Elite on this trip, but it was quite a star trek! Next time I'll do it with a Tier 5 FSD mod, though!!

If I average 30 jumps an hour for the rest of the way back to the Bubble, I reckon it's going to take me another 15 hours of flight time to make it back to cash in my explorer data. Oh my... Mercury 7 Expedition will come to an end in 2 days but i'm still WAY behind the main fleet and plugging along until I finish the entire expedition so I may be another month until I return CMDR Senan Torr to Colonia.

Wheeeeeee!

Image
Wheeeeeee! Originally shared by Iain McC I made it, finally. And I remembered to pack the fireworks. I left the bubble before the Engineers update and have been gradually chipping away the light years in little bursts, that is until yesterday, when I used the bank holiday Monday to blast nearly 7kly to leave me with just 950ly left to go tonight. Seeing the view from the centre of the galaxy has been one of my biggest goals since I backed the Kickstarter, and I'm very glad I stuck with it. It's so pretty out here. Now I just need to get home in one piece, cash in my exploration data to make Pioneer, and then engineer the heck out of my 'conda so I can take the scenic route to Beagle Point. One goal down, but still plenty to go...
